When we took our Alaskan cruise, we had a Tlingit guide that took us into Glacier Bay. He claimed to be one of very few speakers of the Tlingit language. Glacier Bay was marvelous and so was he.
I was just thinking the exact thing, and wondering if he had a mixed genetic background. Hubby is part Cherokee, and when he tries to grow a beard he looks as if the moths have been at him. Pathetic!
Is he missing an ear?

ReplyDeleteYou don't often see Indians with facial hair. Yet another difference in the genetic diversity amongst them.
