Sioux Indian

Today's picture shows a Sioux Indian by the name of Bear Foot. Yes, that is Bear, not Bare. The Picture was taken in 1899. I like the fact he has his bow and arrow in the photograph. I wish it showed details on the arrow tips.

  1. Nice expression on his face

  2. Kinda silly of me, but I picture that necklace being used as a washboard. He just runs his fingernails down it and it makes a neat addition to their ceremonial dance music.

  3. Hmm, 1899 - The Indian wars were a thing of the past by then, and judging by the stitching his shirt seems to be store - bought -- I wonder if his bowstring was also, and I wonder whether his arrowheads would be nontraditional.
