I never think about stagecoaches being used in the East. How strange. And what decides how many horses to hook up? 4 or 6? Did stagecoaches ever use only 2 horses?
Seems as though it could be a very dusty ride at times.

This looks as if it could have been taken in Williamsburg. Lovely!
Other than the driver and man riding shotgun I've never seen a stagecoach carry people on top like that.
